Fire Department

Members of the Tioga Volunteer Fire Department have been providing fire suppression and first-responder services for  the citizens of Tioga and surrounding communities since 1936.  The department’s fifteen (15) member staff operates a fleet of five (5) vehicles, the newest being a 2010 Freightliner Engine and responds twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week to various types of emergencies.  On average, our department handles over 140 calls for service each year.

In addition to this invaluable service, they are also very active in community events, including hosting two of the City’s more popular gatherings:

*Red, White and Blues July 4th Fireworks and Festival:  In 2014, Tioga was host to over 2,000 spectators from around north Texas who enjoyed the best live music, vendors and fireworks display anyone can imagine!  Mark your calendars now because you do not want to miss next year’s show.

* Breakfast With Santa:  Jolly ol’ Saint Nick arrives to enjoy a prepared breakfast for all in attendance, with activities and games for all the kids (young or old) as well.  This is a fun-filled event for the whole family!
