HALLOWEEN – OCTOBER 31, 2016
LETS WORK TOGETHER TO ENSURE OUR CHILDREN HAVE A HAPPY AND SAFE HALLOWEEN!
Halloween Safety Tips:
Turn on your porch light if you will be giving away candy. Put up any objects lying in the yard that could cause a child to trip. Put your pets up so they don’t bother the trick-or-treaters and where they can’t escape when you answer the door and get lost. If you are driving, watch for children that could pop out between parked cars. Avoid open flames–use glow sticks or battery operated flameless candles in your Halloween decorations.
Children should wear bright colored costumes that are not long enough to cause tripping. Avoid accessories with sharp tips and use reflective tape on costumes and bags. Glow sticks or flashlights that can help children see and be seen are a great accessory. Review safety tips with your children: remind them to only go to houses with glowing porch lights, to stay outside and never enter a strangers house, and to inspect their candy before eating.
