We encourage our residents to use the CODE RED link in quick links to sign up for emergency notifications from Grayson County. When signing up, click the box to receive general messages and you will be able to receive non-emergency messages from the City of Tioga. General messages contain information on City related issues such as scheduled water outages and street closings for repairs.
Tioga residents can get a FREE Pilot Point Community Library Card! Take a current photo I.D. and proof of current address to the library located at 324 S. Washington Street, Pilot Point, Texas.

In addition to the City’s mosquito spraying program, which runs from May through September, we encourage our citizens to practice mosquito bite prevention. B.t.i. Briquets (Floating sustained-release larvicide for long-term control of mosquito and psychodid fly larvae biological control of mosquitoes & psychodid flies) are available at City Hall while supplies last.

Garage Sales: City Ordinance number 76 limits garage sales in residential areas to four per year with each sale not exceeding three consecutive days. Residents must obtain a permit from City Hall before holding the garage/yard sale. There is no cost for the permit.
Pets: City Ordinance number 294 requires all dogs be restrained in such a manner as to prevent them from leaving your property or they must be on a leash when off the property. The Ordinance also requires that all dogs three months of age or older shall be vaccinated against rabies and that a metal tag bearing the vaccination certificate number and the year of issuance shall be attached to the animal’s collar.
High Grass, Stagnant Water: City Ordinance number 143 prohibits weeds, grass, or brush from growing to a and Junk. height over 12 inches. It prohibits the accumulation of rubbish or any other unsightly, objectionable or unsanitary matter and it prohibits the accumulation of stagnant water.
