Sep 11, 2018 - The City of Tioga has adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year's tax rate. The tax rate will effectively be raised by 8 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $39.78 over the effective tax rate.
Apr 27, 2018 - GARAGE SALE PERMITS REQUIRED. Please fill out an application for a Garage/Yard Sale Permit and file it at City Hall before your sale begins. Each residence is allowed to have three permitted garage/yard sales during the year in addition to the City Wide Garage Sale in October for which no permit is required.
Apr 25, 2018 - You must obtain a permit before constructing or installing any swimming pool (above-ground or in-ground) that holds 2,500 gallons or more of water. Any swimming pool that holds 24 inches or more of water must be surrounded by a barrier (fence). Complete rules are available at City Hall.

Apr 25, 2018 - Our Mosquito Prevention Program is scheduled to begin in May and run though September. Spraying is scheduled during the over-night hours on the third Wednesday of each month. It may be moved a day forward or back to accommodate the weather (rain). B.t.i. Briquets are available at City Hall free of charge while supplies last.

Texas Government Code, Chapter 252 gives you the right to access government records. To obtain information, submit your written request by mail, fax, email or in person. You may use your own form or the public information request form provided by City Hall.
We charge the costs provided by the Texas Administrative Code for research and copies of information. You will also be required to pay any costs associated with delivery of the information (postage, etc.).
The City strives to fill all request for disclosure of public information within ten (10) working days, however, due to personnel demands, schedules and the storage location of the records there may be occasions when the disclosure of records may take time.
