May 18, 2020 - The City of Tioga is taking sealed bids for the sale of a 2007 John Deere 777 Z Track Mower, 60 inch cut. Minimum Bid is $500.00 Bids may be sent to City of Tioga, Attn: Bid on mower, P.O. Box 206, Tioga, Texas, 76271. Bids delivered in person to City Hall, 600 Main Street, Tioga, Texas must be in a sealed envelope marked “Bid on mower.” Bids will be accepted until June 5, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. Bids will be opened at a regular council meeting to be held on June 8, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. The City of Tioga reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
May 07, 2020 - Permits are now required prior to the installation of a fence or culvert. Ordinance and applications are available online.
May 07, 2020 - Any swimming pool that holds 24 inches or more of water must be surrounded by a barrier (fence). You must obtain a permit before constructing or installing any swimming pool (above-ground or in-ground) that holds 2,500 gallons or more of water. May 05, 2020 - Our Mosquito Prevention Program is scheduled to begin in May and run though October. Spraying is scheduled during the over-night hours on the following dates: May 13, 2020, June 10, 2020, July 8, 2020, August 12, 2020, September 9, 2020 and October 20, 2020. It may be moved a day forward or back to accommodate the weather (rain). B.t.i. Briquets are available at City Hall free of charge while supplies last.

Sep 11, 2018 - The City of Tioga has adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year's tax rate. The tax rate will effectively be raised by 8 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $38.92 over the effective tax rate.
