Feb 27, 2020 - The Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on March 25, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. to receive public comment on a request to change the zoning on 15 acres of land located at the corner of FM 922 and Texas Street. Feb 25, 2020 - The City of Tioga has scheduled two public hearings, to be held March 9, 2020 and March 23, 2020, to discuss a request to annex 113.315 acres of land situated in the James McKinney Abstract A-G0853 into the city limits. Sep 11, 2018 - The City of Tioga has adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year's tax rate. The tax rate will effectively be raised by 8 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $38.92 over the effective tax rate.

Public Information

Texas Government Code, Chapter 252 gives you the right to access government records. To obtain information, submit your written request by mail, fax, email or in person. You may use your own form or the public information request form provided by City Hall.

We charge the costs provided by the Texas Administrative Code for research and copies of information. You will also be required to pay any costs associated with delivery of the information (postage, etc.).

The City strives to fill all request for disclosure of public information within ten (10) working days, however,  due to personnel demands, schedules and the storage location of the records there may be occasions when the disclosure of records may take time.
