2026-2027 Budget and Tax Rate Notices

A public hearing on the proposed budget will be help on September 14, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fire Department Meeting Room, 601 Main Street, Tioga, Texas. A vote on adoption of the proposed budget will take place on September 14, 2026, after the public hearing.
The City of Tioga has proposed a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year’s tax rate. The proposed tax rate will effectively be raised by 15.89 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations of a $100,000 home by approximately $97.86.
