GARAGE SALE PERMITS REQUIRED. Please fill out an application for a Garage/Yard Sale Permit and file it at City Hall before your sale begins. Each residence is allowed to have three permitted garage/yard sales during the year in addition to the City Wide Garage Sale in October for which no permit is required.

You must obtain a permit before constructing or installing any swimming pool (above-ground or in-ground) that holds 2,500 gallons or more of water. Any swimming pool that holds 24 inches or more of water must be surrounded by a barrier (fence). Complete rules are available at City Hall.

Our Mosquito Prevention Program is scheduled to begin in May and run though September. Spraying is scheduled during the over-night hours on the third Wednesday of each month. It may be moved a day forward or back to accommodate the weather (rain). B.t.i. Briquets are available at City Hall free of charge while supplies last.

The City of Tioga has adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year’s tax rate. The tax rate will effectively be raised by 10.95 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $53.40 over the effective tax rate.
